Just like Tabasco Man, we made our way to Aloun Farms but on Saturday. (Thanks K Family!) Clouds were out and we skipped music class for this, but it turned out to be a great experience.
I don’t recall ever carving a pumpkin at home nor getting to pick one from a farm so this was probably more exciting for me than our child. Have I been to a farm before?!
It seemed like everyone on Farrington Highway was going to Aloun Farms that morning. Nice big signs helped to direct you in the right direction.
Lots of dirt, dust, people and pumpkins! We were amazed at how many rows and rows of pumpkins there were. Big ones to mini ones. Orange ones to white ones.
There was an area to pet some dirty, filthy animals. It took awhile for the pony ride but it was surely worth the wait for our child who enjoyed it a lot.
So bring your SO’s car if you go there (hehe), dress in darker colored clothes (not like MSO’s white shirt!), and wear some rubber boots (not the Cayman).
Next task – Carve the pumpkin! Yikes!
