The other morning I had a desire to go get an Egg McMuffin, a hashbrown and some orange juice despite my fatness screaming not to.
I get to the nearby McDonald’s five minutes before (apparently) opening time. I look around and I don’t see one woman waiting except me. You see two vehicles parked, yes parked, by the drive-thru, waiting with male drivers behind the wheel. You see a couple of construction-type looking trucks with male drivers in the parking lot. And of course you see the older male paying for his 50 cents newspaper with his iPod (‘Cause you know there are hip guys out there).
None of these guys seemed to be peeved by the fact that this McDonald’s location opens at 0600. And on time. One worker even tells me, “We’ll be opening in a couple of minutes.” 0600! Why? This is a location that gets frequented by older people (who have to deal with young boys being abrupt and belching very loudly)…Actually, what location doesn’t get frequented by such people, right?
But my co-worker said his nearby McDonald’s opens at 0500. Alright, I digress. It’s probably better for me that it opens at 0600 as I won’t be tempted to get a quick breakfast more than I should (which is one time too many).
Since the famous Golden Arches is being discussed, have you ever wondered who designs their packages? And are these real people they have featured on them?
The package that contained my non-nutritious breakfast made me wonder another thing. One side introduces a high-school boy, named Nick from Kapaa, HI, and he is a Global Casting Star. The other side spotlights Aldwin, a future championship golfer from Draguignan, France. Also a Global Casting Star.
What is a Global Casting Star?! If you want to know, go here. You can even see Nick and Aldwin as well as other “stars” who were cast. They look to be real people.
Happy Friday!
