I would suspect most parents of toddlers don’t want to hear or experience those two words together but could be considered brave beings. So what do those crazy beings do to get ready to take their toddler on a trip to the far East Coast in damn cold weather?

It starts with a list using Google Docs. Because forgetfulness unfortunately increases as you get older (at least it has been for me), it helps to record and share with your SO the tasks you need to accomplish and the items you need to pack for your long ass journey.

Some help for what essentials to pack can be found. Found this site through Parent Hacks.

Once you complete checking off those line items and manage to still be together and stay sane, you pack it all up and hope for the best. The best is what you really hope for especially on the plane.

Scan this packing guide for the carry-on and be sure to check the TSA site.

Snacks, milk, and entertainment were key carry-on contents.

Tips for keeping ‘em occupied on the plane.

So why travel with children? I think this more or less sums it up. Our child may have been too young and may not remember everything but the experience will be remembered (more or less) by both MSO and me. Digital media will hopefully endure and capture those moments and memories.
